Tanya, the school&#8217;s librarian, has been busy ordering books to stock the machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The token-operated (cashless) machine will be a sustainable way to get free books to K-4 students in Salida. Research shows that <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0049089X18300607?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\">home libraries bolster academic performance.<\/a> We&#8217;re thrilled to help both support academics and a love of reading through the book vending machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re so grateful to the community and organizational donors who contributed to this effort &#8211; Thank you for your support!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Together, we did it!
