All of the books that are distributed through are nonprofit are new, so we don’t take donations of used books at this time.

The teachers and librarians in our public schools work together to choose books for stocking in the machine.

Definitely! We are a registered 501c3, and will provide a receipt for your tax records.

Salida has a wealth of people offering literacy programming to our youth. Rather than adding more programs, our focus is on fundraising to add more books to the programs already in place.

Salida youth can, and many do, participate in the Imagination Library program. Through that program, they receive a book a month until age 5.  

Our efforts complement Imagination Library by targeting kids who have aged out of that program.
