We’ve reached our first giving goal, and will be installing our community’s first book vending machine at Longfellow Elementary in early December! Tanya, the school’s librarian, has been busy ordering books to stock the machine.
The token-operated (cashless) machine will be a sustainable way to get free books to K-4 students in Salida. Research shows that home libraries bolster academic performance. We’re thrilled to help both support academics and a love of reading through the book vending machine.
We’re so grateful to the community and organizational donors who contributed to this effort – Thank you for your support!
