For the summer of 2023, Salida Regional Library hosted one of the book vending machines that serves the Salida School District. The partnership gave participating kids in the summer reading program access to the vending machine; they could earn a token for reaching their reading milestones. Library volunteers and staff and Elevating Readers volunteers moved the machine into and out of the library for the summer.
